Drain Pump making noise. Brass type spacer was crack and hitting the main body.

First removed the top using a putty knife to compress the two clips on front of top. Removed the two self tapping hex head screws at top. Lifted front cover off. Tilted machine back to discover the problem. Removed back access panel to drain pump. Removed pump and replaced with new one. With the machine tilted back, replaced belt.

Also replaced a badly faded control panel. The trick to removing the timer knob was to gain access to the back of the timer. A blue pin is located in the middle which has a shaft the runs into the knob. Using a small screw driver, just pull the pin out enough to release the knob. It does not come all the way out. I had a little difficulty removing the water level control knob and water temp knob. After carefully removing the knobs, I put on a little pressure grease to make it easier next time.
