Did not have an open end wrench thin enough to engage the coupling shaft, so I inserted a flat screwdriver through the vent holes at the bottom of the blender to keep the motor from turning and simply unscrewed the coupling (reverse thread) from the shaft. FYI, the instructions that came with the new coupling were useless. Makes no sense to "pry" the old coupling off with a screwdriver, in effect destroying it, when all you need to do is what I describe above. By the way - it would be really great if you provided a thin cheap open end wrench with the new coupling. Probably only add a few pennies to the cost.
