The agitator spun freely and did not agitate the laundry

I unplugged the washing machine from the wall power and removed the cap on the top of the agitator. I then removed the inner cap. Using a socket and an extension, I removed the single bolt and pulled the upper agitator from the spindle.

Removing the old parts from within the spindle was a matter of tapping them out using a screwdriver.

I snapped the new parts in place using the clear instructions that were provided and reassembled the agitator in reverse order.
