I turned off the water supply to the refrigerator, and I removed all the food, baskets, and shelving from the freezer unit. I removed three screws holding the ice maker, lowered it, and unplugged the wiring harness. The clip holding the wiring harness in the ice maker was not real obvious, but I found it okay. I took the bail and the front cover from the old ice maker and placed them on the new ice maker. Two of the screw holes for the new ice maker were slotted allowing me to start the screws in the side of the freezer prior to installing the new ice maker, and the third screw was no trouble to start. I really did not need the instructions I ordered, but I am cautious toward having everything I need in case something does not go as planned. This was a very easy repair.
