Chipped glass cooktop
Removed 1/4" screws that connect the glass top to the burner unit. Make sure you remove the screws with the glass facing up so the burners don't slip out. Pull the old glass top off and replace with the new glass. Secure the glass top with the 6 screws and plug in the finished unit.

Broke the glass top to my cooktop.
I went on-line to find the parts and found a handy schematic with a list of parts on PartSelect. It made finding the part really easy and I ended up paying for just the part I needed not the whole assembly. It saved about $300.00. Once I had the part the simple instructions were easy to follow and I had it finished up and in place on the stove in less thatn 15 minutes.

I used a Martha Stewart speckled pot on my glass stove top and it stuck to the cartridge and also broke. Later learned you cannot use this type pot on the stove. There was a small warning on the pot label that was not noticeable and it never occurred to me that the pot would stick, "after all it w
I stumbled into the part as I thought that I had to order the complete cartridge ($315) I learned that all I needed was the glass part for $108. It was simple to replace and I appreciated the price. I advise everyone not to use the "speckled" pots on a glass cartridge.

Replace broken glass top on cooktop unit
Loosened 7 hexnuts on the cook top. Removed the glass top and replaced it with the new one from PartSelect. Put the hexnuts back on. Plugged the unit back into the Jenn Air and it worked perfectly.
PartSelect was a big help making sure I got the right replacement part which was hard to find. Without them I would not have been able to make the repair.

My Jenn-Air has a black glass top and the small burner stopped working. Do you have replacement parts? Is it possible to just replace the small burner or do I have to replace the whole cartridge? The cartridge plugs into the side of the unit. Any information would be helpful. Thanks
