Startt button on control panel not working

Inspected the ribbon cable coming from the control panel to the circuit box and with the aid of a magnifying glass spotted a small rust spot on the ribbon cable connection plug. Ordered a new panel that comes with the ribbon cable attached. Plugged the new one in and it works perfectly. Water tends to run down inside the door, collect on the ribbon cable causing rust on the cable itself. When disconnecting or connecting the ribbon cable be sure to pull the white collar on the connection plug reciever, this releases the cable and clamps on the new cable.
