I simply decided what I needed to do, what had to be repaired and/or replaced, ordered the part required and with a simple screwdriver opened the front panel (after first shutting off the electricity), took out the broken part...in this case the whole handle and door latch assembly, put the new one in and 'TA-DA'...all done. I refastened the panel in place and it only took 12 minutes for the whole job. Not bad for a 70 year old widow...
