My dishwasher was making an aweful sound. Upon inspection I found the Chopper Blade assembly in pieces and figured that was my problem. First remove the lower rack, waswithout removing her arm and unsnap the water distribution assembly from it's brackets. Tilt the washer on it's back and remove the wiring harness, the drain pump and retaining tabs (3). Place washer upright and remove housing and pump motor. You can reach the chopper assembly without removing the entire unit if you want but would be a back ache. Remove the 4 Torx screws securing the screen to the pump assembly. Remove upper screen assembly and remove last two Torx screws securing the cover and chopper bade housing. Reverse order to re-assemble. Unfortunately this was not my only problem. The noise is less clunky but the pump/motor assembly still makes an aweful sound when running so I've ordered a replacement and will let you know how it goes. Dont forget the plumbers tape on your water inlet valve when reinstalling unit.
