I did not know what the problem was at first, so I completely removed all the outer sheetmetel components. This took the longest time. Then I could not see anything obvously wrong, until with a flashlight I saw at the base of the coupling between transmission and motor a small dust pile of black rubber and a piece of broken plastic.
I proceed to remove motor assembly and found the coupling between motor and transmission completly broken. Replaced it with new part put back together, cleaned everything in site - ALL OK
