Washing machine would not spin and drain

1.Unplug the washer from the wall outlet.
2. Remove the rear cover to the upper control panel.
3. Remove the timer knob.
4. Remove two screws holding the timer to the panel.
5.Pull the timer out the back.
6.Unplug the pin connector and notice the orientation of the connector
7.Verify the new timer matched the old timer.
8.Plug the pin connector to the new timer.(notice orientation)
9.Place the new timer back in the control panel and install the two screws.
10.Replace the rear cover on the control panel.
11.Reinstall the Timer knob.
12.Plug the washer in to the wall outlet .
13.Cycle the washer without clothes to verify operation.
