Dryer running but not heating at all

First we thought the problem was failure of thermal-fuse but that did not solve it but trying a fuse helped us to narrow down to the main problem which was the heating element--S/N MS0915926.

Once installed, the dryer began working like nothing ever happened to it. Of course I examined the old heating element and found out that the thing was old and worn out with one of the springs rusty and cut. I suppose, Heat was not passing through the broken spring.
