Disconnected the power. I removed the six screws holding the back panel of the console. Located the timer and removed the two screws holding it in place. Pulled the tmer out far enough to remove the 4-5 wires while holding the replacement part to re-attach the wires correctly. Re-installed the timer, secured the back panel and turned the power back on.Sadly to say, the dryer does the same thing with the new part. Need an ohmmeter to test the part.
