did not agitate , freewheeled in both directions

remove softner dispenser from agitator top (it pops off by hand) remove O ring sealed plate in cavity bottom, (again slides out by hand or if it is stuck pliers may be needed) finally the 12 MM head of a bolt is visiable. Remove it, the top part of the agitator along with the ratchet dog assembly then slips right off. note orentation of dog direction and replace old dogs with new ones lubercate with thick greese, lube bolt with thick greese to prevent rust then simply replace in reverse of disassembly. If properly done agitator spins freely in one direction only. (to make bolt replacement easier either use greese in socket to hold bolt while lowered into hole or use a tool used to reach dropped bolts like an extension magnet or flex grabber.)
