After shutting off the water suppIy, I first removed the faceplate above the dispenser (where the settings are shown just above the levers) by hand as it just snaps in. Next, I removed the four phillips head screws which hold the dispenser assembly in place. Then I very carefully pulled out the assembly just enough to release the power supply connector on the left side of the assembly over the water/ice controls. The connector on the right side (if equipped) for the light doesn't need to be removed for this. After releasing the power supply connector, I carefully removed the assembly from it's compartment, being careful not to damage the control arm for the water dispenser. The tube where the water comes out runs through the aforementioned control arm, but will clear the arm. The circuit board for the controls is held in place by a plastic retention bar, held in place with two phillips head screws. Once removed, I disconnected the connector for the light (this model has one) and replaced the circuit board. The reassembly is simply in reverse, but also had to take care in reconnecting the connectors as there are prongs the connectors snap into and had to be careful not to damage them. Overall, very easy process.
