had to replace the timer assy. the removal of the clip on the back of the timer knob was a little tricky. i removed the 4 torx screws from the top of the washer. disconnected the gang plug from the timer assy. reinstalled timer, gang plug, reinstalled top panel and put on new knobs.
total time was 10 minutes. if all repairs could be this easy i would change professions
