broken ice chute door

it looked like it wouild be a pretty quick job, so i didn't take any chances; i unplugged the fridge to avoid any chance of problems with circuit board behind front facing. removing "drip catcher" at base of opening reveals 2 torx screws (easily removed) and two more up near the chute opening and light bulb. front facing then easily lifts off. i found it easiest to unplug ribbon cable from the circuit board. The door itself is pretty self-explanitory as how to remove and replace. the trick was figuring out the correct position for the attaching solenoid. it's supposed to be in a "normally out" position under the attaching part of the door flap mechanism. and that was it. much easier than i expected. it took about 15 minutes.
