The first ice maker failure happened within the one year warranty period. The entire ice maker was replaced, no charge/no explanation. When the ice maker failed again I replaced the Ice maker motor assembly. Two nut screws to remove the small door, one screw to remove the cover over the wiring, small clips under ice maker to remove the entire ice maker. Unplugged the ice maker and its out, 5 minutes, tops. Removed the white cover over the motor and three phillips screws holding the module in place. Removed and replaced module, put ice maker back in, 10 minutes- done.
