Deciding it was time to address the problem of the really heavy dishwasher door, I removed the three screws that hold the cover plate over the spring assembly (had to go to the hardware store for missing screw #4). After inspecting what broke, I then went online to research how to fix the problem. That's when I found a schematic and the PartSelect web site.
At first, I was going to order one cable but then realized the other cable was just as old and rusty as the one that broke. Within two business days, I had the cables and had the door fixed in about 10 minutes! Wow! It's the little things that can really cheer one up.
