I removed the dispenser cap and inner sealing shield with no difficulty. Next the bolt holding the agitator in place needed to be removed with a socket and extentsion. After removing the bolt the agitator assembly was easily pulled straight off the shaft. The upper agitator was easily removed from the lower part of the assembly with a gentle twisting and pulling motion. The cog assembly can be removed easily. Don't be fooled by thinking you have to break any tabs off for removal. It comes out with a little persuation. The reinstallation instructions are very clear. The only problem was in the instructions it is stated to apply agitator grease to the expansion spacer, which is not supply with the repair kit. The feel of the grease that was on the old part felt lke vasoline so that is what I used. i am hopeful that this does not cause a future problem. After installing the new repair kit, the agitator works perfectly in the way it was intented.
