Patience is the necessary ingredient here. Loosen all nuts so you can create at least an 1/8" gap between the inside door panel and the refrigerator door. Clean the door after you remove the old gasket so that the new gasket can make a tight seal. Starting at the top, center the new gasket over the door panel so as you press it in, you work your way equally to the corners. You should end up positioned properly and have the ability to pull a little towards one side or the other before you tighten the nuts down. Use your thumb to press the gasket rib into the corresponding place on the formed door panel. Be careful not to poke a hole or tear the gasket when a little loosening of a screw might make the difference.
