First we removed 2 screws and lifted off the front panel, detaching the 2 safety switches on the door. We found the Blower Wheel was hitting loose change and items that had been left in pockets and had fallen to the floor of the dryer, and broke a piece off the wheel blade. The center hole had also worn and no longer fit tight. We found PartSelect and quickly located a diagram that showed the part and number needed for the repair, and ordered it early afternoon. We were so surprised to receive the part the next day.
We removed the old blower wheel assembly. Our grip ring pliers was too large for the grip ring holding the wheel on, but my husband was able to get it off with a screwdriver. We put on the new part and the old grip ring, reattached the screws, reattached the safety switches to the door and were back in business.
