Dryer would not heat up

First took pictures of back of dryer to make sure I put everything back together correctly. Took pictures freqeuntly with digital camera before taking off any parts. Used socket to remove screws from ack of dryer. A couple of screws held element in place. Removed old element. Installed new one. Screwed back in place. Attatched back and vent tube. Hardest part was putting on vent tube. I wish tube coming out of the dryer was longer. That would have made it easier to put the hose clamp on to secure the vent tubing. I am not that mechanically inclined. This was much easier than I ever thought it would be. I wonder how many appliances I have discarded because I thought it would be to hard to repair.
