Two years ago the same problem cost us $160.00 to replace the same two parts. The latch failed in the exact same location and I'm disappointed that GE hasn't redesigned the latch to eliminate the sharp 90 degree angle at the point of failure. I purchased two sets of parts for $35.00 and replaced them with some small effort and little risk. I still have a set of parts for the next time it fails. It sure beats calling an authorized GE repairman and paying $160.00 or possibly more .
