Could not change water temp

Insured the washer was unpluged. Removed the back cover that had 6 screws. Replaced the Switch Temp by twisting the old one counterclockwise. Unpluged the wiring harness. Took new switch pluged in the wiring harness, putting the switch back in where the old one was, twist the switch clockwise to lock into place. Replace back cover. Put the new control knobs on the water temp switch, and the extra rince switch,
Plugged the washing machine in and tested the switch. Worked perfectly.
