Was very simple. First I unplugged the machine. I then pulled the machine about two feet from the wall. Next I carefully tipped the machine back until it was leaning against the wall. (take care to not pinch the cold and hot water hoses). I used a wastepaper basket to hold the machine in place. I imagine a Jack would be the proper tool for this but in this case the wastebasket was w/in arms reach so that's what I went with. I used a pair of pliers to then remove the rings holding the hoses on the pump. Next I used a flathead screwdriver to pop off the metal straps holding the pump in place. I them removed the old pump fit the new one in it's place slid the rings back into position and reattached the metal straps. Very easy. I like to think of myself as being pretty handy but I really don't know much about washers and dryers except how to operate them. This was a simple fix though and I recomend doing this yourself and saving a service charge from a repairman
