It was a "piece of cake." After turning off the breaker (important), I took out the screws around the inside cover. Removed the broken part. Disconnected the electrical leads. Then I reversed the procedure by making the electrical connection and screwing the inside cover with the new part back into place. After flipping the breaker back on, everything worked fine. No problems. . . . After studying the old broken part, I decided that the proper way to open the dishwasher without undue stress on the two plastic fulcrums that apparently break repeatedly in these machines is to make sure you don't just jerk up on the front edge of the latch to open the dishwasher, but fully insert your fingers into the latch and push forward firmly as you lift up on the latch. You won't find this instruction in the owner's manual. PartSelect had this part in stock and shipped it the next day. Great service!!!
