Thanks to the repair description dated 4/16/08, I was able to replace the part without major problems.
My old defrost timer was not in a case. The screws from the old one was not long enough to hold the new timer.
One additional note is that the temperture controls are mounted with slotted holes to allow the screws to stay in the top while you place the controls back in.
As far as I know now (5 days later), the defrost must be working,since I don't see any frost buildup on the coils. Thanks to the previous person that helped very much.
Still working fine (7/09). The freezer was much colder after the new defrost timer was installed. Thanks.
