I had previously removed the old icemaker and water inlet valve, which is installed at the back of the frig. Once I figured out the valve worked fine, I ordered the new icemaker kit (which contained a new valve anyway!!)
Installation was easy. I plugged in the icemaker wire harness, making sure the icemaker arm was in the up or 'off' position, installed three screws and put the ice tray back in place.
The fun was re-installing the inlet valve. Make sure, if you have plastic tubing and have to disconnect it, that you have extra tubing hardware (nuts, ferrules, and inserts). Oh, and remember to reconnect the tube that runs from the valve to the freezer. Otherwise, you get a nice puddle of water on the floor when you turn the water back on!
