Diconnected the power,removed the escutcheon from the door panel, took a digital photo of the inside so I would be sure to reconnect all the switches and wires correctly, then removed all the connections and the old panel. Replaced with the new panel and reconnected all the switches, etc.
I highly recommend taking a photo like I did before you unhook everything. It is a nightmare to reconnect if you do not know the sequence.
