Before starting, take time to read the stories and tips submitted. The stories were very helpful.
What I did first was unnplug refrigerator.
Pry bottom plastic tray off with a firm tug.
Remove the 3 screws, shift the cover up to get to the actuator.
Disconnect the old actuator and unscrew the head screws holding it. You can also cut the wire to make it easier to dislodge it.
Replace with new actuator being careful not to remove the waterline.
My waterline came loose and I had to remove the bottom panel of the refrigerator and push the waterline up a bit to give slack and insert it in the dispenser
