I had reservations about trying the repair since i usually mess things up to the point of it's being beyond repair. I read a couple of comments from others and decided to give a chance. It was so easy I would have been embarrassed if I had watched while a repairman did the work. It was as easy as described. Off with the back cover and front knob, then it was nothing more than removing wiring-- one at a time-- and placing them on the new timer.
