I removed the panel to get access to the key panel.
I need to remove the Smartboard which I thought was the problem. It turned out that the board works fine but the key panel was defective. Luckily, I have also ordered the keypanel replacement. To remove the key panel which was glued to the mount, I pulled it apart by gripping the strip from one end. Fortunately, it was not superglued. So ripping it off was not too bad. I did some cleaning to remove greases on the panel mount and put in the new key panel. The wirings were done by disconnecting from the old panel thestrip connector by first releasing it from the mount. Everything works well after I put back the unit and close the panel mount.
