Latch Assy would not open door anymore.

Carefully removed hinges to get door off:10 torque screws to open door assy. Popped in new latch assy. with black handle after verifying AC was removed from circuit with DVM. Reassembled and tested and funny noises were coming from unit. Removed drain filter housing in bottom of unit and found plastic pieces that had broken off old latch assy. rubbing against motor spindle. Cleaned and ran unit, this time everything worked like new.
