Pulled out Refridgerator, unpluged the same. Removed the bottom pannel and pulled out the wiring harness. Followed instructions provided and cut the 3 wires wires to the part that needed replacing.
Then I stripped the old wiring at the end and connected the replacement diode ( new part ) with the wires from the replacement part . Then I used electrical tape to cover the connection. Wires are collor coded and easy to replace.
Plugged the Refridgerator back into the power outlet and tested the Refridgerator.
Drinking waterdispenser worked fine and water for the ice maker only dispensed to fill the icemaker.
Replaced the back bottom cover.
Problem solved. Cost of the part less than
$ 10.00.
Great help from the Repair help in the diagnostic of the problem and selecting the spare part.
