Remove two screws from the top of the control panel. Pull forward on top of panel to remove from washer. Remove the round cover on the front of the timer dial with your fingernail or small screw driver. Slide small clip sideways to remove the timer dial. Remove two screws holding timer to control panel. Unplug two wiring harnesses from old timer and plug them into the new timer in the same locations. Reverse remainder of removal process to reassemble. The timer fixed the problem and works perfectly.
