Dishwasher wouldn't drain after washing

The drain motor on the dishwasher started to and eventually did fail. I removed the two screws holding the unit in and the front plate on the bottom. I slowly walked it out from under the counter, and tipped it up on its left side. I removed the two mounting screws, and loosened the hose clamps on the inlet and outlet of the pump. Flushed out the drain line of left over soap and goo the pump failed to clear. Then installed the new one reversing the process.
