Thermador Fault Codes

Thermador Oven/Range/Stove Fault Codes (Starting with F)

Note: Depending upon the brand of appliance, there can be many different names for the 'clock' component. Electronic Range Control, ERC, Electronic Oven Control, EOC, control board, and clock all refer to the same part.

F0 - Oven Control Failure - Replace control board (clock).
F1 - Oven Control Failure - Replace control board (clock).
F2 - Oven Temperature Too Hot - Replace relay board if faulty. Check and replace oven temperature sensor (RTD). If error persists, replace control board (clock).
F3 - Open Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD) - Check the connection between the oven control and oven sensor, as well as the sensor harness. If wiring is ok, replace oven temperature sensor (RTD).
F4 - Shorted Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD) - Check the connection between the oven control and oven sensor, as well as the sensor harness. If wiring is ok, replace oven temperature sensor (RTD).
F7 - Function Key Stuck - Check all keys on touch pad (keypad). Replace control board (clock).
F8 - Internal Logic Failure - Check the connection between the oven control and oven sensor, as well as the sensor harness. If wiring is ok, replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) and control board (clock).
F9 - Internal Logic Failure - Check door latch and switches and replace if defective. Replace control board (clock) if everything else is ok.
Fd - Bake And Broil Relay Drives Act Simultaneously - Check relay board and control board (clock). Replace if damaged.

E1 - Control Board Failure - Replace control board (clock).
E2 - Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD) Fault - Check oven temperature sensor and replace if faulty. If sensor is ok, replace control board (clock).
E3- Open Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD) - Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD).
E4 - Shorted Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD) - Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD).
E5 - Control Board Failure - Replace control board (clock).
E6 - Control Board Failure - Replace control board (clock).
E7 - Control Board Failure - Replace control board (clock).
E8 - Control Board Failure - Replace control board (clock).
E9 - Door Latch Switch Problem - Check door latch switches and wiring. Replace if faulty.
E10 - Control Board Failure - Replace control board (clock).
E11 - Door Latch Switch Problem - Check door latch switches and wiring. Replace if faulty.
E12 - Door Latch Switch Problem - Check door latch switches and wiring. Replace if faulty.
E13 - Latch Motor/Control Board Failure - For CT models, check power to latch motor. For CMT models, the control board has not converted.
E14 - Door Latch Switch Problem - Check door latch switches and wiring. Replace if faulty.
E15 - Control Board Failure - Replace control board (clock).

Gravatar Hey, thanks for listing these fault codes ...gives me a place to start rather than call somebody in right away. Good chance I can resolve this intermittant F3 on my Thermador range myself. Gotta love the internet!
