Dishes not coming clean silver ware seems to have still food on them
For model number WU701
PartSelect logo
Hi Norman, Thank you for your question. If your dishes and silverware still appear to have food on them when a dishwasher cycle completes, You may be overfilling the dishwasher. Make sure that you are not overfilling the dishwasher and that you are properly positioning the dishes, so that when the dishwasher is on, all the dishes are sprayed with water. Also make sure that you are using the correct detergent for you dishwasher. If you are prewashing the dishes before you place them in the dishwasher, a film may build up on them. Dishwasher detergents use phosphates that react with the food on the dishes to clean them. Before using the dishwasher, run the water in the sink to make sure that it is nice and hot. There are some parts in the dishwasher that you will need to check to see which one may be causing this issue. We have included a link with some common parts that may cause this issue that you may reference for information. If you need to replace a part from the dishwasher, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!

replace door seal
Remove old seal by pulling out tabs one at a time.

To install new seal, I had to remove the front control panel and door panel to access the back side of all of the slots that the new seal tabs go into. Using needlenose pliers i pulled each tab individually until they were locked into place.
Replace door and control panel.

I had bought the portable dishwasher from an add in the paper and unfortunately I was unaware that they require faucet adapters and it was not given to me along with the appliance.
I ordered the part and it fit perfectly!! About five minutes to screw it onto my faucet and problem solved!!!

Dishes not being washed, water below heater element
I attempted to fix it about a year ago. Took apart the screen center stem and water spinner.
I could not find anything wrong. The machine was used very infrequently over the years. Recently my wife approached me again to fix it and knowing I didn't find any thing the first time: I took the lower panel strip off and found the translucent belt broken. I found your site matched up a belt size and ordered it. Three days later it arrived, I installed it and everything seems to work. The water drains and I'm back in business. It was so easy I was embarrassed I did not fix it the first time.
