what is the part number for the "bridge" element. the left front burner does not work. the back one does work.
i see it is a 15D on the diagram, but no part number ever given

Dual radiant burner kaput.
Removed trim screws,(4) , lifted range top and removed the element after taking a picture of same. then disconnected the wires. I was upset because the new element had a different wire configuration. I put it in anyway in spite of your warning of not being able to return it if it didn't work. I fired it up and it did not work correct

ly. After a couple of "...oh dear me." A few Hail Mary's and an educated guess I reversed two wires and gave it another smoke test. Well, kiss my ....! It works.

Burner eye would only produce High Heat on all settings
Ordered a new Surface Burner Switch to replace the failed unit.
When I opened the burner lid, I could see the insulation on all the wiring for the burners had fallen apart and wiring was exposed. The wiring for all 4 burners was exposed as the insulation had deteriorated and fallen off over 80% of the circuits. It was just blind luc ... Read more k there was not a fire or an electrical failure on a grand scale. I replaced the wiring and burner connection assemblies as they also showed signs of age and deterioration.
Had the switch not gone bad, forcing me to look into the wiring assemble, there very likely would have been an electrical fire. In a 220 volt appliance, electrical fires are a lot more excitement than I need.
