While washing the front panel turned completely red. I stopped it, took dishes out and did them by hand. Machine will not start. No breakers thrown in house. Machine is about 25 years old. Can this be fixed?

A high-limit thermostat keeps the dishwasher from getting too hot, so if it malfunctions, your dishwasher could cut off before the clean dishes in it get dry post-washing or heating up of the front panel. The temperature-sensing thermostat keeps the unit off while the heating element brings the water temperature up. Problem being is that the parts you would need to fix this are discontinued for your model and no longer available. We have no known replacement information in our system. We recommend you contact the manufacturer of the part to see if they have recently released a new substitute. We do carry related parts for units just like yours. For example, part number PS11743069 Good luck with your repair. We would genuinely suggest not to run the dishwasher as it is as it could be a potential fire hazard.
I opened the end stop of the rack, replaced the roller, and put the end stop back on. I can't believe I paid the repairman the last time $125????? An he put in a regular screw that rusted and broke the roller. Took me 3 minutes! Thanks
I ordered two clips just in case. Turns out I needed both of them. Since I hadn't seen the adjustable tines installed, it took some time to figure out how to put the assembly together.

I ordered a new replacement basket. The new one is a little different but it fits in the same place and takes up the same amount of room in the dishwasher. It looks very nice too.
