Broken Dryer Knob
First let me just say that Partselect.com is now one my stored favorites in my web browser. I came home from a business trip and saw a pair of pliers on the dryer. I thought that was odd until my wife informed me that the knob on the dryer had broken. So she was using the pliers to select the cycle. Somehow she knew where the missing pointer was actually pointing. Since the dryer was over 5 years old I saw this as an opportunity to upgrade both appliances. Not with my frugal wife. A search of the Internet popped up partselect. I ordered Wednesday morning and the parts where on my doorstep late Thursday. Trust me I was very surprised. Everything worked perfectly. Two thumbs up!!!

Freezer handle came loose on one side
Discovered that the seating in the handle was stripped on one side so removed the old handle (toughest part of the repair). Based on a previously asked/answered question, the PartSelect website provided an accurate list of the required parts (and corresponding part numbers) so I had everything I needed. Installing the new handle was very straightforward and quick.

My son broke the door handle off the Refrigerator
I removed two screws that were holding on broken handle. I put new handle in place and attached it with new screws. Ordering parts on line and receving them in mail a few days later was awsome. I did not need my husbands help at all .

Remove the door from the hinges. Then remove all the screws from the four outer panels. The glass window will fall out, be careful. It's OK, though, it probably needs cleaned like ours did. The new handle is now easily replaced. However, the replacement handle has cheap, plastic attachment points, vice the original's metal ones (which broke after a couple years.) As I was screwing in one of the new screws, I felt it already stripping...at least I now know how to replace the handle when it breaks again.
Partselect.com beat Maytag on the overall price. Maytag sold the handle cheaper but the screws were three time the cost and shipping was twice the cost. I bought the standard shipping (2-3 days) , but the part came the next day! Yea Partselect!!

The handle on the upper oven broke off at both attachment points.
The repair process is not logical. It appears as if it were engineered for the average person to not be able to fix it. This is a bulb clip, also known as a sensor clip or bulb holder, which is designed to hold the thermostat bulb in place within the interior of various models of ovens. This clip is made of metal, measures approximately 1-inch in length and is a genuine OEM part, but is sold by itself and without the thermostat itself. The thermostat bulb, also known as a capillary thermostat, is used to measure the interior temperature of the oven during operation, and this clip secures it. If you notice your oven heats unevenly, too little or too much, this clip may be rusted, broken or damaged and causing the thermostat bulb to not detect the internal temperature properly. To replace this clip, you will likely need your user manual and a screwdriver and/or wrench. You will first need to disconnect your oven from the wall outlet and remove it from the wall. Use your user manual to locate the thermostat and use your screwdriver and/or wrench to remove the panel covering it. Here, you can likely replace the old clip with the new one, and then reassemble your oven.
