Replace old leaking freezer gasket with new one
Repair went very well with removal of old gasket and the new replacement. The replacement fit (OEM ?) did not fit as nice as the old one. Two screw holes at opposite corners never lined up with holes in new gasket. Some of the gasket inner folds did not fit nicely but they work with no issues. Read more...

Refrigerator door weatherstripping torn
Removed all screws on the door that retained weatherstripping, removed weatherstripping and inside of door. Inserted new weatherstripping, lined up inside of door and loosely re-installed screws. (Portable ) The Hose Hook up from the dishwasher to the kitchen faucet would not seal. After replacing the hoses the connection hoses sealede.
tilted the dishwasher back so the bottom was exposed and unhooked the old hoses, then removed old hoses through the back side of the dish washer then fed the new hoses through the back and hooked them up. Read more...

The freezer was icing and the refrigerator was running constantly
I took the freezer door off. Gasket screws ran on the four side of the door. I unscrewed the top and three sides but the bottom screws were completely rusted and stuck. As the refrigerator was almost 19 years old which is the predicted lifespan I decided to just buy a new refrigerator. I was able to adjust the old gasket and got the freezer working normally but decided to go ahead with the replacement. Read more...

gasket was not sealing everywhere
After unloading the door We took it off and laid it on the island. WE were then able to take all of the screws out without the door falling apart. Starting at the top we removed the old gasket and put on the new. The gasket was somewhat distorted but the hair dryer helped soften and shape it. We then put the door back on and used the hair dryer to shape any problems . This took right at one hour.

The coils would freeze up and it wouldn't cool.
I removed the screws on the covers and remove them, then taken the screws from the timer, the temperature control just set in there, then pulled out a lttle ways and disconnected the wires and then removed. Installed the new ones. I taken the back panel off and removed the clip and pulled the defrost heater out a ways and removed the wires and removed the defrost heater. The freezer was making ice on the food. The Ref.'s gasket was ripped.
Emptied the freezer and removed the door. Removed the screws from the gasket and replaced the new gasket and lined up the new gasket put the door back on then the door would not close right. Fixed the problem.
Now the Referator removed all the food off the door and removed the door. Did the same as freezer and the door was having trouble closing. And the gaskets were not fitting right by not fitting tight. So we have to use a heat gun to make the gaskets fit tighter on both freezer and refrigerator. It also took the two of us to handle the job. Read more...
