The sub PCB assembly (also referred to as a relay board), is a part for your range. If your oven is overheating, this might indicate that your sub PCB assembly needs to be replaced. You will need a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper rear access panel brackets. Also, remove the screws securing the panel and detach. Take note of how the wires are currently connected to the board. This board is held in place by screws and can be removed. You will then need to release the retaining clips to release the entire board. The new sub PCB assembly should snap into place.

Oven would initially start to heat up but would not hold its temp

I searched online and found someone that seemed to have the exact problem. That person had replaced the lower burner and the same PCB board I replaced. I was able to test the lower burner without removing it and it tested OK. The PCB board in the article I had checked was burned and obviously bad but mine was not. I took a chance and ordered just the PCB board. I replaced this board and the oven now works perfectly. I seems this board was not turning on the bottom burner but the system thought it was working fine. Read more...
