Amana 'Big Oven' Fault Codes (5.1 cubic ft.)

Note: Depending upon the brand of appliance, there can be many different names for the 'clock' component. Electronic Range Control, ERC, Electronic Oven Control, EOC, control board, and clock all refer to the same part.

  • F0-0 - No Error - Initial Factory Setting.
  • F1-1 - Over Temperature While Cooking - Check oven temperature sensor and wiring. Replace if defective. If oven temperature sensor is ok, replace control board (clock).
  • F1-3 - Over Temperature While Cleaning - Check oven temperature sensor and wiring. Replace if defective. If oven temperature sensor is ok, replace control board (clock).
  • F1-5 - Cancel Key Input Out of Range - Replace control board (clock).
  • F1-7 - Keyboard Disconnected - Check to make sure wire connection is secure. Replace control board if failed.
  • F1-8 - Shorted Key - Replace control board (clock).
  • F1-9 - Slave Micro Not Functioning - Replace control board (clock).
  • F1-A - Circuit Board Grounding - Replace control board (clock).
  • F1-C - Control Not Calibrated - Replace control board (clock).
  • F1-E - Circuit Board Data Corruption - Replace control board (clock).
  • F1-F - Circuit Board Data Corruption - Replace control board (clock).
  • F1-H - Door Switch Input Circuit Failure - Check Door Switch and Wiring.
  • F1-J - Latch Switch Input Circuit Failure - Check Door Switch and Wiring.
  • F3-1 - Oven Temperature Sensor/Circuit Failure - Check wire connections and oven temperature sensor. Replace if defective.
  • F9-1 - Auto Latch Will Not Lock - Check wiring, motor, and latch switch.
  • F9-2 - Auto Latch Will Not Unlock - Check wiring, motor, and latch switch.

Amana Dual Convection Wall Oven Fault Codes

  • F0 - Shorted Touch Pad - Replace touch pad.
  • F1 - Control Board Failure - Replace control board (ERC).
  • F2 - Oven Temperature 100 Degrees Over Limit - Replace oven temperature sensor.
  • F3 - Shorted Oven Temperature Sensor - Replace oven temperature sensor.
  • F4 - Open Oven Temperature Sensor - Replace oven temperature sensor.
  • F6 - Control Board Failure - Replace control board (ERC).
  • F7 - Error Detected in Self Clean lock Circuitry - Check door latch mechanism.

Glass Link Electronic Range Control (ERC)

  • Door Flashing 0,1,2,3 - Latch Switch Broken - Replace latch switch.
  • Lock Flashing - Latch Switch Broken - Replace latch switch.
  • F0 - Loss of Safety Signal - Replace adapter board.
  • F1 - Watchdog Circuit - Replace electronic range control (control board).
  • F2 - Oven Temperature Too Hot - Replace oven temperature sensor.
  • F3 / F4 - Open or Shorted Oven Temperature Sensor - Replace oven temperature sensor.
  • F7 - Short Touch Pad - Replace glass panel.
  • F9 - Motorized Door - Check latch and replace if faulty.
  • FF - Lock Error - Check switch and motor. Replace if faulty.

Electronic Range Control (ERC) III / Relay Board with Separate Board/Push Buttons

  • F0 - Shorted Push Pad (Touch Pad) - Replace touch pad.
  • F1 - Control Board Failure - Replace control board (ERC).
  • F2 - Oven Temperature Too Hot - Replace oven temperature sensor.
  • F3 / F4 - Shorted or Open Oven Temperature Sensor - Replace oven temperature sensor.
  • F5 / F6 / F8 - Control Board Failure - Replace control board (ERC).
  • F7 - Shorted or Stuck Button - Check glass alignment and replace touch pad if necessary.
  • F9 - Door Latch Failure - Replace door latch switch or assembly if necessary.
